The European Commission has launched its fifth call for proposals on Advanced Digital Skills with a total budget of 42 million EUR to support:
- Specialised education programmes in key capacity areas
- Advanced Digital Skills Analysis
- Cybersecurity Skills Academy
On 12 December 2023, the European Commission presented the fifth round of DIGITAL Europe Programme call for proposal in a dedicated Info Day and Pitching Event.
The Cybersecurity Skills Academy Call is aiming at various activities with the objective of increasing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of:
- Training courses to address the most in-demand skills such cyber-forensics, cyber ranges, malware analysis and AI for cybersecurity.
- On-the-job training courses and traineeship opportunities in cybersecurity
- Online training, user friendly and accessible to everyone in all languages.
The Specialised education programmes in key capacity areas and the Advanced Digital Skills Analysis Calls are aiming for partnerships between academia, businesses, and research across the EU to support:
- Building consortia of higher education institutions, vocational education and training institutions, research organisations and businesses to deliver advanced digital technology programmes and multi-disciplinary courses for users of advanced digital technologies.
- Equipping at least 2 fully interoperable higher education institutions per consortium, e.g., transnational (virtual) campuses, shared equipment and libraries of learning content, automatic recognition of ECTS for students.
- Scholarships for 500 students or other financial support measures.
- An analysis of skills needed in key digital areas and networking among the organisations that are part of the digital consortia.
