Tech alone will not be enough to make ‘sustainability’ tangible for the average European. It has to be something you can walk through, look at, listen to, and participate in. Something you can wear or live inside of. This requires the power of art and creativity.
EIT Culture & Creativity (EIT CC) is the 9th Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) that’s bringing creatives from all walks of life together to rethink how we live as Europeans, including rethinking the way we currently run our cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSI) from fashion to film and empowering creatives to transform it according to their vision of the green and digital transitions.
For our Pledgers and the Talents following the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative we would like to draw your attention to EIT CC’s recently launched first three calls of 2025, designed to support educational and innovative initiatives in the CCSIs:
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Courses: Supports education providers developing cutting-edge training programmes that are designed to upskill professionals in the CCSI, address critical skills gaps and foster innovation in all EIT CC priority areas (Fashion, Architecture, Cultural Heritage, Audio-Visual Media, and Gaming) in support of Europe’s green, digital, and social transitions. This Call will provide support for up to 20 courses, co-funding EIT-labelled courses with up to €150,000 and non-labelled courses with up to €75,000, to bridge skills gaps and drive forward Europe’s creative talent
- Short Innovation Projects: Open to entrepreneurs and consortia working on agile, results-driven innovations that can be market-ready within six months. With up to €120,000 available for consortia, they are looking for projects in fashion, architecture, cultural heritage, audiovisual media, and gaming, projects that respond to the challenges of globalisation, digital transformation, AI, and sustainability
- Main Innovation Projects: Suitable for larger-scale collaborations, with up to €350,000 available for consortia of at least two partners. We’re seeking ambitious, industry-changing solutions that will redefine the creative economy and help businesses and cultural organisations adapt to a rapidly evolving world.
