Course Presentation

The Bachelor of Science in Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering (BSc EESE) equips students with the technical, economic, ecological, and social skills required to develop sustainable solutions to global challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and environmental pollution. As the only engineering program in Switzerland taught entirely in English, it offers a unique opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to gain hands-on experience in interdisciplinary energy and environmental systems.

This program fosters a holistic approach, integrating mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering with business and sustainability concepts. Students develop problem-solving skills through real-world industry collaborations, projects, and research initiatives. A key feature of the program is the flexibility to specialize in either Energy Systems or Environmental Systems, or to combine both for a broader expertise.

Graduates of this program can pursue careers in energy service providers, technology development, consulting, public administration, and research institutions. The program also offers international exchange opportunities, a strong industry network, and practical learning experiences through industry visits and corporate projects.
