Data Engineer

During this course, the method of collecting, managing, modeling and systematizing data coming from different channels of a company are explored. Starting from Python programming, participants will learn to build and manage relational and non-relational databases as well as use versioning and data visualization tools.

Characteristic elements of the pathway:

1. Cooperative learning sessions: as part of the lessons on transversal skills, halfway through the course, students are divided into working groups and each group is assigned a scenario and a practical task (for example: the creation of a web page, a logo, a social campaign). The groups work independently to accomplish the task, using all the skills they have acquired and finding new ways of learning. The goal is to consolidate interdependence, individual responsibility, equal participation and simultaneous interaction.

2. The use of Agile methodologies: from the very beginning of the course, students are introduced to the use of the SCRUM method for the management of the software development cycle or development of applications. This method is used both during the sessions of cooperative learning, as well as in the final project.

3. Employability sessions: students are prepared to meet the world of employment through simulated aptitude and technical interviews, CV preparation, creation of LinkedIn profile, and coaching sessions.

4. The final project work: at the end of the course, students (divided into subgroups) tackle a concrete task related to the role for which they are being trained. The students thus have the opportunity to consolidate their learning, developing projects in autonomy. The results are documented and presented in front of the whole class. The goal is to build a unified experience and aimed at organically interconnecting into an original product the knowledge acquired and the skills developed during the course.
