Space for Non-Space Businesses

Space 4 Non-Space Businesses is a hybrid course designed to promote the knowledge of space applications for non-space businesses. The course is actually an innovation coaching program, in which participants receive a portion of the content asynchronously and are involved in project work on real business cases in synchronous laboratories (in person or remotely). The course is 50 hours long, with most of the time spent in laboratories. Laboratory activities are led by experienced technologists, researchers from prestigious research centers, and have the scientific supervision of CREST, the Center for Research and Engineering for Space Technologies in Brussels.

Course objectives

The objectives of the Space 4 Non-Space Businesses course are to:

• Increase the knowledge of space applications for non-space businesses
• Develop skills in innovation and business development
• Facilitate the creation of new space-based business opportunities

Course content

The course covers a wide range of topics related to space applications, including:

• Space technologies and systems

The course also includes a module on innovation and business development, which provides participants with the skills and knowledge they need to create new space-based business opportunities.

Course structure

The course is divided into two main parts:

• Asynchronous content
  This part of the course is delivered online and includes video lectures, readings, and exercises.
• Synchronous laboratories
  These laboratories are conducted in person or remotely and allow participants to work on real business cases with the guidance of experienced professionals.
