EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative: Deep Tech Skills Days 2024

The flagship event of the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative ‘Deep Tech Skills Days 2024’will take place on 12-13 November in Warsaw, Poland. Over two days we will bring together stakeholders committed to skilling, up-skilling and re-skilling talents in deep tech fields and willing to connect to new stakeholders, as well as individuals eager to connect to companies, training organizations and academia.

Agenda highlights

Our packed agenda will allow you to engage in in-depth discussions, share best practices, and forge new partnerships with like-minded individuals who are also committed to shaping the future of deep tech education.

Following the opening ceremony, Day 1 features various keynote speeches by leading figures in deep tech from Bulgaria, Riga Technical University, and Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. There are talks on quantum computing and cybersecurity, and panel discussions on deep tech talent development, entrepreneurship, and the impact of AI on both talent and training.

Day 2 highlights innovation in education with talks from experts from Barcelona, Technische Universität Delft, and Tampere University of Applied Science, while panel discussions explore lifelong learning, women in deep tech, and innovative strategies to win and retain talent.

We will also announce the winners of the EIT Deep Tech Talent’s Call for Training Proposals 2024 and the Deep Tech Trainer of the Year.

Breakout sessions

Some of our Pledgers, as well as EIT Community Initiatives, will be running breakout sessions across the two days on deep tech topics including AI, cybersecurity, sustainability, and post-quantum cryptography, along with sessions that focus on training issues such as upskilling and reskilling workforces, building a European training ecosystem, bridging the AI skills gap, women in tech, and ways to tackle talent shortage and inclusion through skills-based hiring.
