The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative to speak at EIT Communities Event

We are delighted to announce that Francesca Barisani, EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative Chief of Outreach, will be a panel member at the upcoming EIT Communities event on 10 June. The online session will be a chance for start-ups, business creation teams from KICs and participants of programmes offered by the EIT ecosystem to discover the opportunities that EIT Communities offer to support innovation in Europe and beyond.

Alongside Francesca, who will be representing EIT Strategic Education, a community driven by a firm dedication to systemic change through education, there will be representatives from three other EIT Communities:

EIT Strategic Synergies

Three EIT Community initiatives, Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiative, New European Bauhaus (NEB) and Supernovas are collectively known as ‘strategic synergies’.

  • EIT Community AI provides support for AI-driven projects and ventures, including resources, training programmes and networking events. It brings together a large and diverse group of stakeholders such as start-ups, SMEs, corporations, universities, and policymakers, to promote the responsible use of AI in the European innovation ecosystem and society.
  • Launched in early 2021, the New European Bauhaus (NEB) provides an innovative, participatory dimension to the European Green Deal, extending the principles of its predecessor by discovering ways of living that value design beyond functionality, while promoting harmony with nature and dialogue across cultures, genders, and ages.
  • Supernovas is a programme for women entering entrepreneurship and articulates a support system for them to enter and scale positions in the ecosystem, while at the same time, opening up the scope of roles that need more women. It helps participants gather financial support, provide them with information and education recommendations, and create networking opportunities.

EIT Strategic Regional Innovation

Launched in 2014 this community helps countries boost their ability to innovate based on their scores on the European Innovation Scoreboard, and activities are tailor-made to meet the diverse innovation needs of eligible countries. EIT Regional Innovation Hubs have been set up to foster closer interactions between local innovation actors and link local innovation ecosystems to the EIT’s pan-European innovation ecosystem. They also help integrate potential new partners and participants from the local innovation ecosystem in EIT Community activities.

EIT Global Outreach

EIT Global Outreach is the global arm of EIT – building bridges between the European innovation ecosystem and ecosystems around the world. We connect talent, knowledge, and key players. As part of a global outreach strategy, innovation hubs were established in San Francisco, USA and Tel-Aviv, Israel along with an additional global platform which lets players around the world access programmes that help explore new innovation ecosystems.

Global Outreach provides the EIT access to the latest knowledge and the best talent worldwide and creates business opportunities in new markets with the goal of creating positive societal impact.
