Fujitsu International Quantum Business Conference 2024

Natalie Cernecka, EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative Manager participated in a roundtable discussion on closing the quantum workforce & entrepreneurship gap at Fujitsu’s International Quantum Business Conference in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, alongside representatives from the Silicon Valley Forum, the University of Santiago de Compostela’s Galician Institute of High Energy Physics, and the University of Barcelona’s Catalonia Quantum Academy.

“In quantum education, we see that the tide is turning.” Natalie said: “Not only are universities, such as University of BARCELONA, and large companies, such as Fujitsu, OFFERING quantum training, we are also seeing small companies, NGOs, and associations all over Europe stepping up to offer training in quantum computing.”

 

This international event was organised by Fujitsu in collaboration with Cesga and the regional government of Galicia, as a discussion forum for about 300 technical and executive profiles to shape the future of quantum and address both R&D aspects of the different quantum technologies, as well as applications to the industry in different fields, e.g., drug discovery, logistics, energy, finance, etc.
