EIT Health
Our pledge
The Deep Tech Talent Initiative is implemented as a Cross-KIC activity by the EIT community. EIT Health being part of the EIT Community is committed to improve deep tech related education in the health sector in Europe.
About
EIT Health was established in 2015, as a knowledge and innovation community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the EU, and is awarded funding under the Horizon Europe framework.
We are a vast, vibrant community that connects around 130 leading organisations, exceptional in the worlds of business, education, research and health service delivery, with thousands of start-ups, entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals. Together with our Partners, we facilitate innovative solutions which will strengthen healthcare systems, promote better health of citizens, and contribute to a sustainable health economy in Europe. To maximise societal impact, our work is strategically focused across flagship initiatives which address underlying drivers of health.
By integrating the three sides of the knowledge triangle – business, research and education – we create a productive environment, so that life-changing innovation can happen. Using our collective strengths and assets, we drive positive societal impact that none of us could achieve alone.
To sustain the activities that we fund, we shape the healthcare innovation landscape across Europe. We influence policy and launch initiatives to make Europe a place where talent thrives and innovation flourishes, so that we can improve lives and grow the economy.
With our Central Office in Munich, Germany, EIT Health has a pan-European presence. We operate across seven Co-Location Centres, and InnoStars, connecting innovators across Europe and beyond. The InnoStars cluster brings together organisations from more progressive regions where the overall pace of innovation is more moderate. We have expanded our community’s presence with an EIT Health Regional Innovation Scheme in 13 regions across Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. We also coordinate EIT Hub Israel, which connect innovators across Europe to other key thriving ecosystems beyond the EU.
