Joining the Pledge for Deep Tech Talent is a strategic step for xm:lab, reinforcing its commitment to interdisciplinary education. Through our specialized programs, we have the platform to introduce art and design students to deep tech subjects, while also encouraging informatics students to embrace broader horizons including sustainability and societal transformation, enriching their technical prowess with a sense of responsibility and foresight. The Experimental Media Lab (xm:lab) at the University of Fine Arts Saar facilitates cross-disciplinary projects between art, design, and technology. It is a part of the educational landscape offering degree programs in Media Art & Design, Product Design, and cooperations with German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Saarland University in Media Informatics and Data Science & AI. The xm:lab is dedicated to generating engaging digital experiences and fostering innovation through an experimental approach that spans various domains including VR and AR, storytelling, and game design.
