Our pledge
The 11 faculties of TUIASI offer 131 study programs that cover many engineering fields: computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, mechanics, constructions, material engineering, chemistry, industrial design, etc. With its 630 academic staff and 250 researchers working in 24 research centers, TUIASI is focused on knowledge transfer, especially in multidisciplinary areas of high-tech engineering. Our innovation strategy is anchored in the 40 years tradition of the innovation school of TUIASI (Iasi School for Inventions) which produced almost 65% of the Romanian patents, leading to numerous prizes at international innovation contests.
TUIASI is well connected to the regional, national and European innovation ecosystem as member in 8 innovation clusters, 2 Digital Innovation Hubs and in the Danube Transfer Center Network (DTC) acting as Network Entry Point for the North-Eastern Region of Romania. TUIASI also operates its own Technology Transfer Center, POLYTECH, included in the National Infrastructure for Innovation.TUIASI has been continuously focused on extending its capabilities for research and education for the jobs of the future, particularly addressing the creation and development of a deep-tech compatible workforce. The University’s Center for Digital Innovation coagulates the resources and expertise in advanced digital technologies such as AI, IoT, 5G, cybersecurity, quantum computing & communication, AR/VR as well as the Digital Education Center. The deep-tech training programs are offered to students and life-long learners through the Digital Skills platform of the Digital Innovation Zone EDIH coordinated by TUIASI.
