Institute for Regional Development

Our pledge
Founded in 2010, the Institute for Regional Development (IRR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development of European regions through the international exchange of good practices and education of key stakeholders in various fields. Our focus areas include education, training, European values, lifelong learning, and the environment.

By joining the Deep Tech Talent Initiative Pledge, IRR aims to contribute to the mission of training 1 million deep tech talents in Europe by 2025. We believe in the transformative power of education and training in deep tech to address the pressing challenges of today and shape a sustainable future.

Examples of IRR’s courses and educational actions:
-MOMentum Project: supports the acquisition and improvement of entrepreneurial skills among mothers. https://www.erasmusmomentumproject.com/
-VINCI Project: aims to foster a shift towards low carbon tourism (LCT) and encourage low-carbon tourism entrepreneurship across Europe. https://eumecb.com/vinci/?page_id=6
-BEHIND SEXTING Project: creates innovative training to raise awareness among adolescents aged 10-19 and parents about the risks of sexting in the digital age. https://www.behindsexting.eu/activities/

Our Contribution to the Deep Tech Talent Initiative:
-We will leverage our extensive network to identify training needs and secure the target groups.
-We will develop and provide high-quality, relevant deep tech training courses.
-We are committed to ensuring that at least 30% of our learners are women, thus promoting gender diversity in the tech sector.
