Our pledge
The Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL), aims to join the EIT DeepTech Pledge to enhance its role in fostering innovation, research, and education in materials science. The motivation to join this initiative includes advancing technological solutions for global challenges, promoting cross-disciplinary research, and strengthening Latvia’s position in European science.

Contributions:
Hosting events like the Annual Deep Tech Atelier.
Organizing the Deep Science Hackathon to stimulate innovative thinking among students.
Offering advanced courses in solid state physics and materials science, contributing to the development of deep tech talent.
