Our pledge
The Faculty of Health Sciences at International Hellenic University is dedicated to advancing education and innovation in deep tech fields, particularly in healthcare and biotechnology. By joining the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, it aims to enhance the curriculum, foster interdisciplinary research and equip our students with cutting-edge skills necessary for the evolving tech landscape. IHU contribution includes offering specialized courses, such as “Digital Health Innovations,” designed to prepare students for the future of healthcare technology.

Advanced Biotechnology Applications: This course covers the latest advancements in biotechnology, focusing on practical applications in healthcare and industry.
Digital Health Innovations: A comprehensive course that explores the integration of digital technologies in healthcare, including telemedicine, health informatics, and wearable health tech.
By incorporating these courses and initiatives, we are committed to nurturing a new generation of health professionals equipped with the skills to lead in deep tech sectors. Our pledge aligns with the goal of the Deep Tech Talent Initiative to train 1 million individuals in deep tech fields by 2025.
About
Department of Nursing from the School of Health and Medical care, of the International Hellenic University of Greece is actually one of the largest Nursing Schools in the country, providing quality education for over 1000 students. It was established in 1973 under the auspices of post-secondary technological education (KATEE). In 1984, it was upgraded and included into the higher education system (TEI). Finally, according to Law 2916/2001, all ATEI departments are part of the official Greek tertiary education system (ATEI). Recently. In May 2019, according to Law 4610, the Department of Nursing integrated in the International Hellenic University of Greece. The academic staff consists of a diverse curriculum, experienced and skilled teaching staff: 3 Professors, 3 Associate professors, 3 Assistant Professors and 4 Clinical lecturers with various specialties i.e. critical care nursing, health policy nursing, psychiatric nursing, hospice nursing, home health nursing etc. The institution is also well respected internationally and has participated in a number of European projects, both as leader and partner.
