International Space Alliance (ISA)
Our pledge
The ISA’s Space Academies provides comprehensive courses in satellite technology, astrophysics, and robotics, empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the space industry. Through our mentorship programs and community outreach, we strive to create a supportive environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Through hackathons, such as the NASA Space Apps Challenges minorities, women and girls can obtain vital skillsets to solve important community problems that have a global impact. Together, we can create a future where space exploration is accessible to all, fostering innovation and economic growth while ensuring that underprivileged communities, women, and minorities are not left behind. Joining the Deep Tech Talent Initiative aligns with our mission to bridge the technology gap and cultivate a thriving ecosystem of talent and innovation in Europe.
About
As a woman-led organization originating from a technology-illiterate and low-functioning region, we are motivated to join the Deep Tech Talent Initiative to work together in bridging the technology gap in Europe. The Balkan region is still developing fundamental skills in technology literacy and is slowly beginning to grow its innovation and investment in emerging technologies in STEM. We are committed to ensuring that citizens from North Macedonia, the Balkans and beyond are provided opportunities to learn and foster their marketable skill sets, in addition to introducing and promoting careers in sectors such as Space, STEM, and Deep Tech. At the International Space Alliance, we believe that space exploration should be accessible to all, and we are dedicated to fostering innovation and economic growth in our region. Our initiatives include educational programs, workshops, and partnerships with local schools and universities to inspire and train the next generation of tech talent.
