Our pledge
Despite being a relatively young organization, JA Montenegro has rapidly established itself as one of the fastest-growing members within the JA network over the past two years. This growth is reflected in the increasing number of financially literate, entrepreneurial young people emerging from its programs. The organization’s strategic partnership with the University of Donja Gorica, a recognized regional leader in innovation and entrepreneurship, has been instrumental in this success. This collaboration provides Montenegrin youth with opportunities to expand their horizons beyond the traditional classroom experience, exposing them to cutting-edge entrepreneurial concepts and practices.

Moreover, JA Montenegro values strong regional cooperation, not only with neighboring JA organizations but also with other relevant stakeholders such as business accelerators, youth clubs, non-profit organizations, and more. This network of partnerships enhances the reach and impact of JA Montenegro’s programs, ensuring that a diverse array of young people have access to vital entrepreneurial education and resources.

Overall, JA Montenegro’s dedication to fostering financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills among young people is paving the way for a more innovative and economically resilient future for Montenegro. JA Montenegro, although moving forward, has yet to reach it’s full potential. It stays open for new partnerships, projects to implement and open many more doors for our future leaders, innovators and game changers who bravely and enthusiastically accept every opportunity that comes their way. Project in the STEM field are more than welcome and a good way for such projects has been paved by this year’s Girls Go Circular program in which a lot of students expresses a great interest for STEM.

Junior Achievement (JA) Montenegro has established itself as a significant contributor to the entrepreneurial and financial education of young people in Montenegro since its inception. As of November 2023, JA Montenegro has become an official member of the prestigious JA Worldwide and JA Europe networks. These networks are renowned as the world’s leading providers of entrepreneurial education, financial literacy, and business skills for youth.

Following in the footsteps of longstanding JA members, JA Montenegro has successfully implemented its student community program for the third consecutive year. This initiative has seen impressive results, with Montenegro ranking among the top 10 European countries in the 2023/24 school year for the number of active student companies. This achievement underscores the program’s effectiveness in fostering entrepreneurial spirit and practical business skills among young people.

In addition to the student company program, JA Montenegro has also been actively involved in the Girls Go Circular program, targeting high school students and teaching staff. This initiative aims to enhance digital and entrepreneurial skills among young women, promoting gender equality in the business world. The program has yielded considerable results, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to inclusive education and empowerment.

JA Montenegro’s efforts extend beyond the classroom, offering numerous workshops, courses, seminars, and networking activities for students and teachers alike. Some of the activities include The Annual International Teachers Conference, The Annual Student Company Program Training, The Montenegro Business Talent Fusion. All these activities have the goal to encourage, educate, provide an opportunity and further establish Montenegro as an oasis for young prospects and their bright ideas. By preparing youngsters for an ever-changing globalized world, JA Montenegro strengthens their adaptability and fosters a “worldwide” way of thinking.
