Our pledge
Lviv Polytechnic National University is deeply motivated to become a participant of the Pledge Initiative. This initiative, focused on improving the skills of people in the field of deep technologies, is indispensable for solving the most pressing global challenges, important and relevant, and is perfectly aligned with the main strategic goals of our university, in particular:
• To attract talented young people motivated to study at the University.
• To create an atmosphere conducive to the learning process, work and personal development.
• To improve the quality of staff productivity, increase the percentage of young scientists in research and academic teaching staff.
• To take the first place among national universities according to the amount of completed international grants.
• To increase the level of the University’s presence in the global information space.
We have extensive experience in enhancing the digital skills of our university students and external trainees. We employ various formats for this purpose: collaborating with top IT companies, we develop contemporary educational programs tailored to business needs. By engaging in these programs, graduates’ market value is enhanced. Additionally, we run dual educational programs, summer schools, hackathons, and more. Also, our Computer Science program incorporates real-world project work and internships with leading tech companies, providing our students with firsthand experience in software engineering, AI, data science, machine learning, computer networks, IoT, and cybersecurity
The university also implements more than 20 European educational projects (Erasmus+KA1, Erasmus+KA2, Jean Monnet Modules and Chairs https://lpnu.ua/projects), which are aimed at increasing digital skills and deepening knowledge in the field of information technologies, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, IoT, etc.
Teaching at the university is carried out at a high level, which is confirmed by high places in international rankings. Thus, in the rating The World University Rankings Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2023), Lviv Polytechnic took second place in Ukraine, and the “Computer Science” educational program took first place in Ukraine and was ranked in the range from 201 to 250 places among 1027 universities in the world . Four master’s educational and professional programs in the specialty «Computer Sciences» were submitted for international accreditation by the German Central Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation (ZEvA), Hannover, Germany: Information Management Systems and Technologies (Department of Automated Control Systems, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies (ICSIT) https://lpnu.ua/asu; Artificial Intelligence Systems (Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems, ICSIT); Computer Systems for Managing Moving Objects (Motor Transport) (Department of Computerized Automatic Systems, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology (ICTA); System Design (Department of Computer-Aided Design, ICSIT).

About
Lviv Polytechnic National University is the oldest technical higher educational institution in Ukraine and East Europe. The University comprises 16 academic institutes, 9 colleges, over 100 departments. More than 33 thousand students acquire knowledge at the University. The University has a developed infrastructure for the training of highly qualified personnel. Over 2,300 full-time research and academic teaching staff provide the educational process and scientific research.
