Our pledge
The Polish Alternative Fuels Association (PSPA) is the largest industry organization operating within the zero emission transport sector in Poland and today, the largest in the EU. PSPA currently has 275 Members, representing entities from the entire value chain of e-mobility and sustainable transport, including but not limited to the automotive sector (OEM’s), EV charging infrastructure companies (CPO’s, manufacturers, service providers, etc.), lithium-ion battery companies, retail companies, financial institutions, logistic companies, IT and software companies, energy companies and many others. Together, we work to create an appropriate economic and legal environment that supports the dynamic development of zero- and low-emission technologies in transport.

We are the biggest team of e-mobility experts and practitioners in Poland. With a team of consultants and trainers with specialist sector experience and knowledge gained in the industry, we undertake training, consultancy and expert projects. We cooperate with the industry, administration and the society. We provide knowledge and information that is crucial for the development of sustainable transport market in Poland.

By publishing over 15 major studies and reports annually and implementing an average of 50 various projects (TCO analysis, pilot projects, analyses, etc.) PSPA is also one of the most active organizations in the CEE region. This is also linked to developing competence. PSPA has been working towards an elaborate system of trainings and education programs for 7 years.

PSPA is the national operator of the European Battery Alliance Academy initiated by EIT InnoEnergy and is a strategic partner of EIT InnoEnergy. On top of this PSPA has been running a comprehensive training program entitled “Electromobility in Practice” for local government wherein nearly 3000 stakeholders were trained in terms of the Law on Electromobility and Alternative Fuels (the main law on electromobility and regulating urban mobility in Poland) and technological background.

Since its founding, the Polish Alternative Fuels Association has been very active in terms of developing the local aspect of the e-mobility market. Cities constitute one of the most crucial areas of building a comprehensive zero emission transport network. PSPA also boasts trusted and working partnerships with over 70 Polish municipalities and it holds a strategic cooperation agreement with GZM, a union of 41 municipalities in the Silesian Region of Poland (the largest industrial hub of the country) and the Union of Polish Metropolises, an association of the largest Polish cities. PSPA has been cooperating the cities in terms of training programs, but also the implementation of low emission zones and introducing multimodality policies (such as the National Bicycle Strategy).

PSPA has standing strategic partnerships with the Łukasiewicz Network in Poland, the National Center for Research and Development as well as the Universities of Technology in Warsaw, Poznań, Łódź, Katowice, Gdańsk and Wrocław.

The programs which PSPA wishes to introduce as part of the pledge are:

The PSPA Academy is addressed to companies and institutions identifying the need to raise competence in electromobility.

Lecturers and instructors, with many years of sector experience and knowledge gained in the industry, are currently implementing two training packages as part of the PSPA Academy:

i) Charging Infrastructure in Poland

Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of different charging technologies, the classification of charging stations, and the legal and technical environment of this dynamic market. Fire safety issues are also addressed.

ii) Electric Vehicles in Poland

The course provides a comprehensive introduction to electromobility. Participants gain knowledge about technological trends, legal regulations, market support systems, electric vehicle safety and electrification of company fleets.

PSPA together with the Warsaw University of Technology, is organizing a postgraduate studies tailored to the needs of employers in the new mobility sector.

New Mobility Postgraduate Studies is a course dedicated to professionals and executives interested in gaining knowledge and expanding their skills related to electromobility, the market for electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, the development of zero-emission technologies, as well as all legal, social and economic issues affecting market participants and stakeholders in the sustainable transport sector.

Completion of the two-semester studies enables participants to obtain, upgrade or change their professional qualifications.

The didactic material includes multidisciplinary knowledge necessary for substantive support of companies, institutions and public administration bodies implementing or supporting the new mobility sector.
