About
With its sights firmly set on the future, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology is characterized by attractive fields of study, intensive research activities and knowledge and technology transfer to the regional economy. With over 9,000 students, 47% of whom are international, we are a university without borders. Teaching focuses on the areas of business, technology, computer science and health. Numerous bachelor’s and master’s programs are also offered internationally and accompanied by continuing education opportunities in the context of practice-oriented and part-time teaching for society. Research and development at THD are mostly reflected in Technology Campuses (TC), which are spread across Lower Bavaria, Upper Palatinate and Middle Franconia. We open up ourselves to industry and cooperate with partner municipalities and the regional economy to develop a technology image for the entire region. Our experts are developing application-related special solutions in cooperation with companies, especially small and medium-sized, with the focus on the symbiosis of scientific research and its economic application. DIGITAL, SMART, SUSTAINABLE and HEALTHY are our research focuses, including digital technologies, smart materials, sustainable production & energy technologies, as well as the quality of life and health care.
