Our pledge
The University of Tartu Institute of Technology (TUIT) is planning to join the EIT DeepTech Pledge to enhance its commitment to innovation, interdisciplinary research, and fostering deep tech talent. The motivation includes strengthening Estonia’s role in the global tech landscape, promoting cutting-edge research, and supporting the growth of deep tech startups.
Contributions:
Hosting the international conference on materials science.
Organizing hackathons and innovation labs for students.
Offering courses such as “Mutliscale Simulations”, “Electron Microscopy” and “Biomedical Engineering.”

The Institute of Technology is a research institute within UT that specialise in research in Biotechnologies and Materials science. In addition to experimental capabilities, the UT team has extensive experience in simulations of nanomaterials.
