Our pledge
The University of Turin is highly motivated to join the Pledge for Deep Tech Talents because we firmly believe in the transformative power of education and training in the deep tech sector. Our dedication to education is evident in our active role in training students through the development and delivery of degree programs, master’s courses, seminars, and workshops. We recognize the vital importance of equipping the next generation with the skills needed to thrive and lead in the rapidly evolving technological landscape. As part of our commitment to the Pledge for Deep Tech Talents, we will develop comprehensive courses and training programs in advanced technology fields, leveraging our academic expertise and industry partnerships. We will also organize and host workshops and seminars that address critical aspects of advanced technologies, such as AI ethics, digital transformation, and sustainability in technology. These events are designed to promote knowledge sharing and skill development among participants. Our training modules are tailored to meet the specific challenges and opportunities of various sectors. We collaborate with companies to enhance their training programs and provide practical industry insights, ensuring that our academic offerings remain relevant and aligned with the latest technological advancements and market needs. By joining the Pledge, the University of Turin aims to support the Deep Tech Talent Initiative’s goal of training one million individuals in advanced technologies between 2023 and 2025. We are dedicated to playing a pivotal role in shaping a skilled and responsible workforce capable of driving innovation and ethical technology adoption. We are enthusiastic about contributing to this significant initiative and collaborating with other partners to create a thriving community for deep tech education and training.
About
The University of Turin is one of the largest Italian universities, with about 82.000 students, 4.400 employees, 1.800 post-graduate and post-doctoral research fellows. It is composed of 27 Departments, encompassing all scientific disciplines except engineering and architecture. It connects public and private stakeholders, by developing talent and sharing research knowledge. It offers over 150 degree programs, more than 40 PhD programs and 86 masters. It manages roughly 600 projects per year.
