Courses such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (including Big Data), Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Deep Tech, and Virtual Reality | Augmented Reality | Metaverse offer students opportunities to gain cutting-edge knowledge, enhance practical skills, and foster an entrepreneurial mindset. Courses of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (including Big Data) contribute to students gain foundational and advanced knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, data analysis, and processing large-scale datasets. Possibility to develop solutions for real-world problems such as predictive analytics, natural language processing, and computer vision. Students can learn to evaluate the ethical and societal implications of AI. With courses of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Deep Tech students can understand the dynamics of transforming research-driven innovations into viable products. With gained knowledge students can explore market validation, customer development, and business models tailored for deep tech. Also, can learn about funding opportunities (venture capital, grants, etc.) and intellectual property management as well as foster collaboration between technical and business domains. With the courses ofVirtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Metaverse students can build skills in creating VR/AR environments and applications for diverse sectors like education, healthcare, and gaming. Also, ehance creativity by integrating storytelling techniques with VR/AR technologies and explore opportunities for innovation within the rapidly evolving Metaverse ecosystem.

About
University “St Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola (UKLO – www.uklo.edu.mk) was established on 25.04.1979 and is the second oldest state University in the Republic of North Macedonia. Today UKLO is a medium-sized, comprehensive university, offering a variety of first, second and third cycle studies, in the fields of Economics, Technical Sciences and ICT, Biotechnical Sciences, Tourism, Education, Health Care, Law Studies and Security, which makes it the most important institution in the area of higher education in the south-western region of our country. The staff engaged at the University includes: 327 academic staff and 222 administrative-technical staff.
Within the University there are 12 units – 10 faculties (Faculty of Technical Sciences, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, Faculty of Biotechnical Sciences, Faculty of Security, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Technology and Technical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), one higher vocational school and a scientific institute, as well as 5 accompanying members (2 scientific and research institutes, 2 students’ dormitories and the University Library).
Following are the facts that increase the overall visibility of University “St Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola on the international higher education institutions map:
– UKLO is a member of EAU, BUA and AUF as well as a MAGNA CHARTA signatory
– UKLO has more than 70 agreements for bilateral cooperation signed with universities from the region, EU member countries and wider, globally
– UKLO has successfully participated in 55 TEMPUS programs since the very start of the Programme
– UKLO has been a Consortium member of three ERASMUS MUNDUS consortia related to BASILEUS, SIGMA and EM2STEM projects
– UKLO has participated in 2 FP6 projects and as well as in 7FP7 projects, so far has completed the realization of 2 HORIZON2020 projects
– UKLO holds an ERASMUS UNIVERSITY CHARTER since April 2009 (EUC No. 255200-IC-1-2009-1-MK-ERASMUS-EUC (ERASMUS Code: MK BITOLA01) and has signed over 140 inter-institutional agreements with EU partners that enable academic mobility within ERASMUS+
– UKLO completed the realization of 10 ERASMUS+ (KA2) project (WAMPPP, Teaching2030, DeMoPhaC, DIA, TraINErS, EREMI, MAREMOTO, GREENES, DIRA, SOCVOC), another 4 projects within the same Action (VR4REACT, SCOOK, MORIN, GENSEC) have been implementing since 2022/2023/2024 and 1 in Jean Monnet Activities (ANETREC) has been completed
– UKLO is the first and only Macedonian University that receives granting for a project in the frames of European Universities Alliance – COLOURS
– UKLO has participated in 12 projects funded by the Interreg – IPA – CBC Programme, in 3 projects in the frames of Interreg Balkan-Mediterranean Programme, as well as in 3 projects in Interreg – IPA ADRION Programme
