Our pledge
We are aware of the importance of deeptech education in stimulating innovation, boosting the economy, and tackling societal issues. By joining the pledge, we want to deepen our dedication to deeptech education and further the pledge’s general goals.

Our DeepTech Entrepreneurship programme (Master of Science (MSc) programme) which was developed and is currently being used in collaboration with the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), is the focal point of our commitment to the Deeptech Education Pledge. The programme aims to educate LEADERS at the intersection of science and business, with a deep understanding of technology, data science, innovation management and entrepreneurship. VU BS seeks not only to give students the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed but also to EMPOWER them as future professionals to integrate into the innovation ecosystem and to grow transformative organizations that will advance to bridge THE WORLD of technology and management. The programme also has a deep focus on internationalization and interdisciplinarity, with at least of 30% of international students and strong cooperation with CERN and the Faculty of Physics, and the Faculty of Mathematics at Vilnius University.

In 2024 VU BS plans to launch a joint micro-credentials course module in deep-tech entrepreneurship. The course module will cover both entrepreneurship competences and deep-tech field-specific competences. The course module will integrate deep-tech companies into the program through guest lectures, company visits, and other interactive components.

Additionally, we are in a good position to support our DeepTech education with guest lecturers, joint projects, and industry-relevant material thanks to our active participation in the Manufacturing Innovation Cluster that we are members of. We will make sure that our curriculum stays in line with the requirements and difficulties of the DeepTech and manufacturing industry by continuously developing relationships with top tier businesses and research organizations.

The DeepTech Entrepreneurship programme is a unique Master of Science (MSc) programme, which has been successfully developed and implemented in partnership with the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) since 2020. We recognize the evolving needs of the industry, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and data science, and aim to align our program with the priorities set by the European Commission, including circular economy, green deal, and digital transformation.
